Jenny Sammons is a versatile singer/songwriter from Washington, DC. While mostly drawn to songs that have a blues, folk or gospel feel, she likes to experiment with many different styles. Passionate about community building and healing through the arts, Jenny seeks to uplift others through messages of hope and unconditional love in her songs.
Born in Charlottesville, VA, Jenny has been singing for as long as she can remember. A sensitive child, she was often too shy to sing in front of others, but she seized the opportunity to sing in every private moment she could find. Drawn to poetry and literature in high school, she began using the written word to dive deeper into her spiritual core. Now, using her voice and her pen, she hopes her songs give others the same soul-nourishment that she feels in the creation of them.
In addition to her musical life, Jenny is an artist who studied Art at Maharishi University of Management. In May of 2017 Jenny was hired as a studio assistant to master silversmith Tommie Lane of Thimbles by TJ Lane. Jenny is delighted to be learning all aspects of Tommie's business is now a licensed seller of the exquisite heirloom quality thimbles and sewing tools.
